The life of the extraordinary singer, actress, model and mother was one that will go down in history.  Her dream of becoming famous paid off at a young age, being surrounded by her mother Cissy Houston; honorary Aunt Aretha Franklin and Cousin Dionne Warwick, Whitney was influenced and guided by love into her choice of career.  The camera was Whitney’s friend from early on as she dabbled in modeling as well as acting.  In the early 1980s she became the first woman of color to grace the cover of Seventeen Magazine
